- Suffra-Jets
- Activists protesting against the expansion of Heathrow airport who, to attract media attention, sport the red-sash of the Suffragette movement.
The Daily Mail reported:
Three women from the Climate Suffragettes group wearing red sashes hurled bricks at [the Department of Transport's] doors in the early hours in protest at the Government’s approval for the airport’s expansion. The makeshift missiles were wrapped in notes which read: “No third runway, the Suffra-jets are back.”(Suffragettes were female activists who, during the early twentieth century, agitated, sometimes violently, for votes for women.)
